On May 19th, in somewhat of an oxymoron, flags across the US will be flying at half mast as Pat Burrell retires a Philly and redefines the meaning of a “viral video”.  I have
been fortunate to know Pat for a number of years and can say that it took President Obama declaring a national holiday to ever hear Burrell’s name and the words, “half mast” mentioned in the same sentence.  Give, Give, Give… That has always been Pat’s motto.  He’s lived a life of selflessness and has been a role model to us all.  His inspiration on the baseball field is something I’m going to miss.

What I didn’t know is that his retirement would bring up so many emotions from all of the fans he touched… Literally.    Watch this video and feel the impact the great one had just one more time.  Seriously, Burrell….  I love you man.
